10 YA Series I've Been Meaning to Start But Haven't Yet feat. Rachel Cohn, Traci Chee, Marie Lu & more

This is my list of shame. Some of these books have been on my TBR for years. I'm working on it, I promise.

Antigoddess by Kendare Blake
I remember really getting intrigued by this after I read an excerpt of this in ANNA DRESSED IN BLOOD. This was years ago, omg, I really love Greek mythology, it's a shame I haven't picked this one up yet.

Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones
I really want to wait to watch the movie Labyrinth first before reading this and I've been waiting for the perfect time to do so. Soon!

Sea of Ink and Gold by Traci Chee
Okay, this pick is a bit unusual, because I only just now read teh blurb and I still don't think I know what this is about. I honestly just wnt to read this because I'm always there to support authors and publishers who put non-white people on book covers. Hell yeah.

Covenant by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I originally got interested in this because I binged her Lux series years ago and had a lot of fun with it and because people keep saying this is a carbon copy of VAMPIRE ACADEMY, which you know I also loved and enjoyed. Bring it on!

Monsters of Verity by Victoria Schwab
I've been meaning to read more of her books because I really disliked A DARKER SHADE OF MAGIC and want to give her another shot, so oh my god, I can't believe I still haven't read this yet. I love urban fantasy!

Annex by Rachel Cohn
I'm pretty sure I've talked about this before on my blog - I love reading about clones and I came so close to buying a copy a number of times, but never actually did it. It's time!

Warcross by Marie Lu
Maybe this is cheating cause it's not out yet, but STILL!!! I've been meaning to try more of her books, because THE YOUNG ELITES really wasn't for me but i did like her writing a lot. I think this is about video games and sci fi things? I don't know, I've been up for it since it got announced!

Devil and the Deep Blue Sea by April Genevieve Tucholke
I've been thirsting for this for months and actually recently finally, finally got a copy. Omg. I'm so excited and I really hope I'll like this because I've been wanting to adore more books by her!

The Great Library by Rachel Caine
Remember how thirsty I was for the first book before it came out? Apparently, I totally forgot about this until literally just now. I still want to read this! Library of Alexandria!

The Forbidden Wish by Jessica Khoury
This has been on my tbr for ages, I don't know what I'm doing. I really like reading about jinni, so it really is time!

Top 10 Books On My Spring 2017 TBR feat. Ashley Poston, Hannah Moskowitz, Roshani Chokshi & more

Here are the 10 books I am most definitely planning to read next! All of these are super exciting picks that you should definitely check out if you haven't already.

ANY BOY BUT YOU - Julie Hammerle
I love Julie's debut THE SOUND OF US and this will absolutely be my next read when I'm feeling like m/f contemporary. This is apparently You've Got Mail in Stars Hollow. Hells yeah. (February 13th 2017, Entangled Crush) Goodreads

DREAMOLOGY - Lucy Keating
It's definitely time for some more magical realism for me and it's also been a while since I've read something related to dreams. Dreaming a boyfriend into life sounds exactly like my jam. (April 12th 2017, HarperTeen) Goodreads

OF FIRE AND STARS - Audrey Coulthurst
My next high fantasy read will definitely be sapphic. You can never say no to princesses who like girls. (November 22nd 2016, Balzer + Bray) Goodreads

WHY I LOATHE STERLING LANE - Ingrid Paulson
I'm waiting for the perfect mood for this. Pranks and douchey love interests, this is bound to be one hell of a reading experience. (June 6th 2017, Entangled: Teen) Goodreads

WAKING GODS (The Themis Files #2) - Sylvain Neuvel
This finally, finaaaally comes out in April and I cannot wait to find out what the ancient alien robots are up to next. This was a major obsession of mine in 2016 and my body is 100% ready for the sequel. (April 4th 2017, Del Rey) Goodreads

GEEKERELLA - Ashley Poston
Somebody pinch me, that request was pending for months on Netgalley, I never thought I'd get this one. I love books about fangirls. Yes please. (April 4th 2017, Quirk Books) Goodreads

A HISTORY OF GLITTER AND BLOOD - Hannah Moskowitz
I don't even care what this is about, the cover is gorgeous and I know that everyone in this is bisexual. Sold. (August 18th 2015, Chronicle Books) Goodreads

LEGEND - Marie Lu
Oh, I'm feeling another dystopian phase coming up. I really liked the writing in THE YOUNG ELITES, even though the book ultimately wasn't my thing. Maybe this time! (November 29th 2011, Putnam Juvenile) Goodreads

GOODBYE DAYS - Jeff Zentner
Can't believe I got a review copy of this either, I'm feeling super embarassed that I didn't read this before it actually comes out. This was probably in like 3 other TBR/looking forward posts. Oops. (March 7th 2017, Crown Books) Goodreads

THE STAR-TOUCHED QUEEN - Roshani Chokshi
This year I will. Seriously. I've never really been in the mood to read the whole thing, which is 100% on me. I'm a mood reader. Next flowery read will be this! (April 26th 2016, St. Martin's Griffin) Goodreads

6 Popular YA Books That I'm Scared Of: A Look at my TBR

I've already confessed to you guys that I usually shy away from popular books. So, sometimes they really have a great premise and I'm still intrigued despite being a snobby closet book hipster. Here are some books that are quite popular and that I haven't read yet, or read recently.

ALL THE BRIGHT PLACES - Jennifer Niven
I heard so many good and equally as many bad things about this book. Some people praise it for being heart-breaking and beautiful, some people demonize it for glorifying suicide. I kinda want to read it but I'm scared I'll agree with the latter group. After disliking HOLDING UP THE UNIVERSE I don't know if I want to take any chances.

LEGEND - Marie Lu
The premise is wonderful. I read a couple of pages in a book store and absolutely adored it, but so many people praise this book that I just keep putting it off.

SAINT ANYTHING - Sarah Dessen
I have read two other novels by Sarah Dessen before (arguably some of her very early works) and wasn't really a fan.

RED QUEEN - Victoria Aveyard
Honestly, the premise isn't even anything I'd usually go far. I avoid high fantasy at all costs, because it's hardly ever for me. So many people love this. Sadly, I didn't in the end.

MORE THAN THIS - Patrick Ness
The idea sounds intriguing, but this whole phenomenon of Patrick Ness is insanely intimidating. I don't know anyone who dislikes his books.

THE OCEAN AT THE END OF THE LANE - Neil Gaiman
I've never read a Neil Gaiman novel, believe it or not. Even though this one is the most intriguing to me because it's so short, I'm still kinda intimidated.

Have you read one of these?
